On the 9-10.10.2023, I will take part in the Simon Wiesenthal Workshop "The 1952 German-Jewish Settlement and Beyond: New Perspectives on Reparations During and After the Cold War". My lecture will be about "Cold War and Compensation: Thoughts on the Nexus Between Memory and Property".
The workshop will take place at the Wiesenthal Institute in Vienna.
"Fragile Facts or Factual Fragilities: German Reparations After 1945 in Theory and Practice"
On 21.09.2023, I will co-organize with Prof. Daniel Siemens (Newcastle) a panel on "Fragile Fakten oder faktische Fragilität? Deutsche Entschädigungen nach 1945 in Theorie und Praxis" at the Historikertag in Leipzig. My presentation will be about "'Ein Netz aus Lügen?' Entschädigungsanträge von vertriebenen 'Ariseuren'."

On Wednesday, April 19, at 19:00 the JRI together with Leo Baeck Institute Jerusalem hosted an event about the Jewish-Austrian jurist Hans Kelsen (in Hebrew).
"Anno 1922: Central Europe Between Old and New Order"
On 12-14.12.2022, Jacob Robinson Institute and the Center for Austrian and German Studies (CAGS) hosted the International Conference "Anno 1922: Central Europe Between Old and New Order".
The main purpose of the conference was to examine historical events around the year 1922, not ruling out the possibility of looking at other "in between" events of the early and mid-1920s.
70 Years of Holocaust Compensation and Restitution

On 10.09.1952 historical agreements were signed in Luxembourg between the government of Israel, the Conference on Jewish Materials Claims Against Germany, and the government of West Germany regarding the provision of reparations and compensations.
To mark the 70th anniversary of the signing, the Goldstein-Goren Diaspora Research Center at Tel Aviv University, the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, and Yad Vashem have organized an international conference.
On Tuesday, 15.11.2022, I spoke about Complicated Encounters: Jewish Claimants and German Legal Categories at this conference.
